Theater of the Oppressed with Geo Britto
Dear Friends –
Short notice, but if you are interested, please spread the word quickly. If you teach, spread to your students please. If you are a student or community activist or cultural field worker, spread to your friends and colleagues, please.
My friend and colleague, Geo Britto, is in town from Rio de Janeiro where he serves as senior joker (more than 20 years of experience alongside Augusto Boal) and their communications director.
Geo’s work takes him in every conceivable environment from hospitals to prisons, from protests to cultural settings all over Brazil. In addition, he does training workshops worldwide, from Egypt to Palestine, India, England, Germany, etc.
Please spread the word. The flyer is attached, I hope you all can open it. If you want quick immersion in TO techniques from a fresh new perspective, this is the workshop for you and your community and friends.
Cost is a minimal $100 – $150 sliding scale, pay what you feel you can, for both days – Saturday and Sunday, January 17 and 18th. It all takes place from 1 – 5 p.m. each day at the 24th Street Theatre. Major thank you’s to Jay McAdams and Deb Devine of 24th Street Theatre for making this possible!
Thanks so much for your response. RSVP to me via this e-mail address – or if you’re pasting and sending to friends, have them e-mail me at bblair@usc.edu, or call me for questions on my cell – (323) 356-2552.
