We call for Faciliators

In ImaginAction, we have been deeply inspired by the seminal work of Joanna Macy with the Work that Reconnects. It has opened a door for our community to expand our minds, hearts, and wills.

We have collectively inquire into how Theatre, Storytelling, and Social arts can become a framework and medium for supporting the great turning through integrating insights from Theatre of the Oppressed, Social Presencing Theatre, free form play, and embodied practices we call for a Theatre that reconnects. We now are entering the journey of multiplying the work and wish to invite you to Work that reconnects practitioners and faciliators to journey with us.

On the week of May 12th to May 15th, 2025, we propose to host a five-day immersive journey through the Work That Reconnects (WTR) Spiral, guided by experienced WTR trainers and practitioners from around the world. This gathering will be framed by ImaginAction’s Theatre That Reconnects, a creative, embodied approach that integrates theatrical and participatory arts with deep ecological work.

An introductory session on the first day will set the stage for a dynamic and experiential process using story, movement, and embodied collective intelligence to deepen our engagement with the WTR framework. Each day, we will explore one of the four stages of the Spiral:

👀 Seeing with New Eyes – Giving our Medicines

🚶 Going Forth – Dreaming our Actions

Call for Facilitators

We invite Work That Reconnects trainers and practitioners to co-facilitate in one of the five sessions of the week-long series. We seek diverse voices, creative methodologies, and embodied approaches to co-create a transformative experience.

ImaginAction is a global collective of facilitators and artists dedicated to using participatory theatre for social transformation, community empowerment, and ecological awareness. Theatre That Reconnects is an emergent practice that blends Theatre of the Oppressed, Social Presencing Theatre, and WTR to offer embodied tools for navigating change, fostering collective resilience, and regenerating our relationship with the Earth.
