Unfolding the dream – a message for Uri
After a “Zoom break” during July and August, the local and global network I am collaborating with seems to be going through a process of transition, death and rebirth which echo the seasons, and the state of the world.
During September, I have been working with Samson Afigo and the team to set up the new ImaginAction Website and welcoming, onboarding new members, and building new bridges for collaboration. I look forward to hearing thoughts and welcome contribution from the broader ImaginAction community. Together with Debora Barrientos and Marina Seghetti (ParamitaLab), we are re-launching the Unfolding the Invisible Social Arts practice group, which will meet weekly to explore Social Presencing Theatre as a way to make “visible the invisible”. You can read of the experiences of Debora, Marina and me about working with SPT on-line on the ImaginAction blog.
I am thrilled to inform you that the short film and video art I made In-Bodied Memories has is to present at the Lift-Off Global Network First-Time Filmmaker Sessions. I am delighted to be projecting the film in an together with Debora Barrientos to co-sense how transforming systems, self and story through embodied practices and social art can create greater organisational well-being.
In October I lead Dream accelerators workshops with migrants refugees in my home region of Umbria (with the team of project LIFE). I will start teaching my second course on Newspaper Theatre and SPT at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt*. Furthermore, I will be launching Unlock the News, an International Online Facilitator Course to explore Newspaper Theatre in the 21st century. If you wish to join any of these new offerings, do not hesitate to contact me. I am looking forward to dreaming, imagining and enacting new possible futures with you.
*BIG gratitude to Hannah Reich imagination’s new Academic Advisor for her support and mentoring in this endeavour.
