Theatre That Reconnects: A New Start

Theatre That Reconnects if a journey of Blending the wisdom of The Work That Reconnects (Joanna Macy), Theatre of the Oppressed (Augusto Boal), and Social Presencing Theatre (Arawana Hayashi), this framework offers a powerful ritual for reconnecting — with our bodies, with each other, and with the Earth.
April: The Opening
The launch event, held online in early April, drew participants from across cultures and continents. Facilitator Uri Noy Meir guided through a sequence of embodied practices and creative invitations. A journey through The Gift, The Wound, The Medicine, and The Dream — a narrative arc that mirrors both the inner journey of transformation and the social field’s movement from trauma toward collective possibility.
April–May: The First Cohort
Following the launch, a five-week pilot cohort met each Wednesday from mid-April through early May. Each session unfolded as a living lab, combining theory and deep practice. We danced the body’s wisdom, listened through masks, shared grief and joy, and made space for our inner children, our ancestors, and the more-than-human world. We new Practice emerged from the merging of the Rainbow of Desire and the Council of All Beings invited us to let the unseen speak. Throughout the cohort, a sense of shared resonance grew. We discovered that even through screens, we could build a field of trust, creativity, and emotional presence.
