I am Mother Earth and We are all related*
I am the Soil, I am the Earth, I am the Mother Earth,
I am your Mother.
And we are related.
I am soft and warm when I am the sand of the beach, the sand of the desert.
I am white and cold when I am the ice floe and the peak of the highest mountains.
I am green and generous, brown and fertile, red and dry.
I am wavy, full of high trees and blooming flowers.
I am flat, full of thin grasses and short shrubs.
I am intense, full of still unnamed plants and insects.
And we are all related.
I am the womb of the Mother where every being was created.
You all were born in water but the water was and is in my womb.
Can you imagine water of the sea and ocean without the soil, without the Earth?
Even the water leans on me.
Even if you think to be a grown up man or a grown up woman,
a separate and autonomous being, a superior species,
The truth is that you are still sucking milk from my breast.
And we are all related.
Indeed we are made from the same atoms.
Each one of you hosted by me,
virus, plants, animals, humans,
Each one of you is a metamorphosis of each other.
You are all related.
We are all related.
Life enjoys to find new shapes and new faces
giving birth to new/old babies.
In each baby there are the parents’ cells,
And in those cells there are the ancestors’ cells,
And in those cells there are the first mammals’ cells,
And in those cells there are the first reptiles, birds, fishes, amphibians, and bacteria’s cell.
And in all those cells there is me.
So, You are in me, but also I am in you.
You can feel me in your own body.
We are all related.
And when you play to be the big builder,
remember that everything comes from me and comes back to me.
And then to you again.
Because
We are all related.
And when you drills me
To have the black oil,
Remember that you profane ancient tombs,
And I can’t breathe.
And then you can’t breathe.
Because
We are all related.
So, when you walk on me, my children,
Be gentle,
Be joyful,
Be wise,
Be aware that
We are all related.

Voicing Gaia*: Me, you, we
Posted on September 14, 2021 by TheAlbero
We, me the Earth, you human.
Me human, you the Earth, we.
We washed our faces with our tears.
We can feel the pain, the anger, the madness of this… dev… develop…development.
Me the Earth, you human, we.
How dare you, human?
I will shake all your useless constructions off of me.
My youngest sons and daughters are screaming my pain that is their pain:
How dare You?
And our heart will be broken.
Open…
and so, Open your heart.
Feel me.
Dance on me.
Live with me, within me.
Me, You, We.

Mid Autumn – Nature’s wisdom

The fig tree let its big leaves fall on the ground.
The persimmon tree let the leaves and kept the fruits.
The prune kept some of its little leaves on its long branches.
The furious wind knocks to our window and speaks.
And I am learning what to let fall and what to keep,
and when it is time to knock and speak up.
In the name of the Mother

“In the name of the Mother” was a creative voyage, an aesthetic exploration, and finally an interactive installation* hosted at “Casa Internazionale delle Donne” in Rome, Italy. When we, Ilaria Olimpico and Uri Noy Meir, started, these were our intentions and premises:
In the name of the Mother because: We want to heal the connection to Mother Earth, We want to give birth to new possible worlds, We want to be led by the maternal principles of caring and sharing.
Thanks to all persons and groups that supported this project through the Gift Economy.
