Staying with - building sustained relationships with the source of wisdom
Uri N: What would you like to make available in an emerging network that shares wisdom?
Pat M: A depth in relationship, not having just a “wisdom bank”, but rather a creation of sustained relationships. For wisdom to grow, it must create a real relationship. This how sustainable human culture has managed to share and fulfil wisdom at other times.
Uri N: How would you like to be recognized and encouraged, and what would you like to receive from such a network?
Pat M: Wisdom is something the goes through me, and I want to find a way of sharing it, co-teaching it through the creation of relationships. For me to be gifting wisdom and be open for support.
*An Extract from “The Wisdom Interviews”
When we allow silence to impregnate us with wisdom, the empty space gives us meaning, we are connecting the source of our awareness, to the love we feel and are. As we get closer to this heart’s intelligence, allies and teachers will appear in our lives. If I learnt anything in my life, is that this is both simple and hard to do and live by. The Unlock the News research is connected to the idea of authentic news, which can give voice to the wisdom of nature and earth and that we can give people (again) the tools to communicate with place and source. Not as rigid practice, order, or religion of monks, but rather with the light, sincere and playful innocence of children.
this point of the journey I invite you to reflect on that which is dreaming you/us into being. You are invited to go to a place of nature you love, simply listening and being with that place.
Using a piece of paper or journal you could reflect with it by writing and drawing.
What is this place telling you about the current moment?
What does tell you about the quality of attention needed at this time?
How can you bring more clearly to your intention for the rest of the journey ahead?
*The wisdom interviews are part of a dream project that has been nesting and growing within me, the creation of a new economic model. An economy that goes back to basics, to what we are here for, to love, to learn, to grow, to go back and be in harmony with the living ecosystem, we call earth.
I am honored and happy to share with you some of the first part of the interviews made with the wisdom keepers to have joined this project from around the world: Pat McCabe, Ellen Bermann, Alfred Tolle, Adina M. Moise and John D. Croft,
Pat McCabe, known as Woman Stands Shining, is a Dine’ (Navajo) mother, grandmother, activist, artist, writer, ceremonial leader and international speaker. She is a voice for global peace, and her paintings are created as tools for individual, earth, and global healing. She has appeared in two documentary films: SEEDing Change and Journeying to Turtle Island and has presented at numerous conferences, events, and indigenous gatherings around the world including Bali, Belgium, Chile, Ecuador, England, India, Italy, Mexico City, Peru, Scotland, Sri Lanka, and in the U.S., as well as the national Bioneers Conference and the International Healing Conference in Bali. 1
