Ruth Cross
Ruth Cross is co-founder of Eroles Project – international learning for action centre, and, Asociación La Bolina – a visionary intercultural initiative working to regenerate land and lives through creating social integration and sustainable livelihoods for locals, migrants and refugees in El Valle, Andalucia, Spain.
Ruth is a project designer, social theatre-maker, researcher and educator focusing on regenerative social transformation. She spends her time directing immersive performance with migrants and refugees and coordinating cross-disciplinary creative projects with organisations, decision-makers, civil society and local communities.
Ruth also facilitates capacity building residencies with activists and social movements across Europe. She holds space with a delicate and energised balance of embodied and intuitive knowledge, drawing from her experience in social art, inner work, activism and organisation change. She is trained in Choreography, Complexity Science, Social Presencing Theatre, Theory U, Delicate Activism, Theatre of the Oppressed, Phenomenology and Dragon Dreaming and draws continual inspiration from meditation retreats and being immersed in nature.
She is a research fellow with Schumacher Research in Action community, is a member of the international Delicate Activism community and of Social Arts network ImaginAction.
