Kiss of the Spider Woman: for Hernan Dario and Juan Fernando
Hector Aristizabal’s brother Hernan Dario was stigmatized as a gay man in Colombia. His brother Juan Fernando was imprisoned, then abducted, tortured, and killed. Now that Hector is in rehearsals for The Kiss of the Spider Woman in the role of Molina–the imprisoned gay man who has been instructed to betray his revolutionary cellmate–he dedicates his performance to the memory of his brothers. After two shows, November 5 & 6 at the CFBG space in Greensboro, North Carolina, the production will travel to Nepal, invited by the Kathmandu International Theatre Festival.
