Vivien Sansour is a native of Palestine. She grew up under Israeli military occupation in the city of Bethlehem. Vivien is an activist and organizer. She has been involved in social justice issues and organizing communities in Honduras, Uruguay, Palestine, United States, and Egypt. She is a founding member of a community-based theatre called Al Harah Theatre in Beit-Jala, Palestine. Vivien served as the Peace and Justice Director at All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena, California. Currently, she is a producer and writer for ImaginAction.
Yael Korin was born and raised in Israel to a Jewish family. She is a research scientist at UCLA. Yael has been a human rights activist since the early 1990s, and has worked with numerous peace and anti-war organizations. Yael was a co-founder of Women in Black in Los Angeles and is a founding member of the Campaign to End Israeli Apartheid, Southern California (CEIA-SC).
Paul Hershfield is a graphic designer. Co-founding member of the Campaign to End Israeli Apartheid, Southern California, he has written and designed most of the group’s website and printed educational material. A human rights and peace activist, Paul has worked with various organizations in the Los Angeles area.
They plan to give a short history of Israel and Palestine, as well as the Zionist ideology and its role in the conflict. They will also speak about the campaigns that they are involved in to bring peace to the area.
