You are invited to a Scripting the Play workshop created to co-create a play to submit to EMOS Playwrights Festival 2022, the upcoming participation of Voicing Gaia in PPLG 2021: Creating Belonging in Times of Pandemic and as collective action in times of the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26).
In the workshop we wish to give voice to the land (and the ocean), or elements of the land (and the ocean); theatrically examine the reciprocal relationship between human, animal and plant communities, and/or the connection between people and place, human and non-human, culture and nature. Creating a play and scenes that could be performed in an unorthodox venue such as a natural or environmental setting, where that setting is not merely a backdrop but an integral part of the play.
