Christine will be jokering a very special forum theatre performance at the Community Presbyterian Church in Pittsburg, CA on Saturday, May 18th. For four weeks, she’s been leading TO exercises with Empowerment’s Safe Spaces LGBTQ youth group, developing a play about communication, love, and coming out to our families. Please come join us for dinner, dialogue and dancing (a DJ will spin tunes afterward)!

Follow the process at my blog, here.

Location: Community Presbyterian Church

200 E Leland Rd, Pittsburg, CA 94565

Dinner 5:30 pm, Performance 6:30

RSVP w/ Christine @ christine.baniewicz@gmail.com

Yours in Same Love,

Christine

Newspaper Theater is a breakthrough tool developed by Brazilian visionary theatre maker Augusto Boal in the 1970s during the times of the military dictatorship in Brazil. It is the first technique of the Theatre of the Oppressed, Boal’s praxis of aesthetics of liberation, and still is a fresh approach to why and how to do theatre.
