We are thrilled to announce an extraordinary learning opportunity that bridges cultures, communities, and creative expression. In partnership between ImaginAction and Kaddu Yaraax, we invite social artists, applied drama practitioners, and educators to join us for a transformative journey to Senegal in the first week of January 2026.

This unique experience centers around the Breathing Together intercultural social theatre festival in Dakar, where participants will immerse themselves in performances addressing the critical theme of pollution across various neighborhoods of the vibrant capital city. But this is more than just a festival – it’s a complete cultural immersion.

Our journey extends beyond the urban landscape to the serene riverside villages of northern Senegal, where traditional wisdom meets contemporary social challenges. Here, in fellowship with local communities, we’ll engage in meaningful dialogue, share stories, and explore how theatre becomes a catalyst for environmental and social awareness.

The experience culminates in a seaside retreat, offering space for reflection, writing, and collaborative learning. Together, we’ll process our shared experiences and co-create new understandings of how art can serve as a bridge between cultures and a voice for our planet.
