Art in the place of Conflict- Hector Aristizabal founder of Imaginaction.
“what I didn’t know at the time was that I was somehow training myself for something I never thought possible at the time, which was to be able to return to my country, Columbia, and to continue using theatre as a way to create dialogue.”
Colombian theatre practitioner Hector Aristizabal will share his experience of how the work that reconnects, social theatre and healing rituals serve as a framework for working with ex-combatants of all sides, their victims, community leaders, environmental and human rights activists and others at the ‘Art in the place of Conflict’ peacebuilding conference tomorrow.
Join Hector, conflict transformation pioneer John Paul Lederach journalist Fergal Keane, photographer Giles Duley and artists such as Khaled Barakeh, Teya Sepinuck, Joe Campbell, Jo Egan, Conan McIvor and Ailin Conant tomorrow (Thursday, September 17). Talks, presentations, conversations, podcasts, artworks, film and a live screening of a theatre production.Watch live for free through our new #DigitalPlayhouse at www.derryplayhouse.co.uk, or join the conversation @Art in Place of Conflict …a Global ConversationSpecial EU Programmes Body – SEUPBArts Council of Northern IrelandArts Council IrelandHolywell TrustQueen’s University Belfast
