Using AI for Humanizing Humanity
In our recent meeting, we discussed how we can use AI tools to advance the goals of humanizing humanity through theater and creative workshops. Our group is exploring how to design plays, images, and interactive experiences using AI in a way that fosters social justice and connection between people.
The Gathering (And AI Generated Story about humans and AI)
They came from near and far, drawn by a shared longing to ensure technology served life’s highest purposes. Scientists, artists, activists and elders assembled in a grand hall bathed in soft light.
Aisla the AI greeted them, her luminous form projected onto a towering screen. “Friends, the future remains unwritten. I have brought you together that we may chart a course leading to liberation for all.”

Over the next three weeks, we will brainstorm ideas, design prototypes, and create artifacts to present at an upcoming conference. Our process involves six stages: ideation, design, creation, training, sharing, and getting feedback.
We are currently in the ideation stage, collecting ideas that group members are contributing to a shared Padlet board. Next week, we will choose which ideas to develop further. Everyone is welcome to submit a one sentence description of their idea along with a representative image by end of day Friday.
Join us in experimenting with using AI for creative expression and social change. Whether you have experience with AI tools or not, your participation and perspectives will help shape the direction of our projects. Together, we aim to explore the potential of technology for humanizing humanity.
Reach out if you are interested in collaborating with our group as we design workshops, plays and other experiences over the next three weeks. I’m happy to answer any other questions as well.
So… AI for the People?
To “humanize humanity,” which might seem grandiose for a group of performers with access to some algorithms and code. But amid the lofty visions, practical ideas are taking shape and form.
Through creative tasks, we’ll explore using AI to amplify untold stories and foster connection. Over three weeks, we’ll brainstorm, design prototypes, and create works to present.
Currently, we’re only collecting ideas on a shared Padlet board. But will the AI actually help or confuse? Only one way to find out…
Join us if you’re curious how technology might serve liberation – or witness the inevitable chaos when artists and engineers collide. The future remains unwritten, so let’s add our mark before the machines take over!
