Hector Aristizabal, a theater director and actor, will be performing his dramatic, one-man play, Nightwind, following a discussion session about his work as a practitioner of the Theater of the Oppressed. In Nightwind, Hector Aristizabal recreates the story of his torture and his brother’s abduction and murder and by the Colombian paramilitary in 1989. Drawing parallels between his own experience of torture and recent events in Abu Ghraib, Nightwind artistically explores the connection between U.S. foreign policy and terrorism.
